What we do at the kerb
Everything below is done on site, with the tools and parts already in the van. If a job genuinely needs a lift, we say so on the phone before we drive out — no surprises, no invoice you didn't agree to.

No-start & won't-crank calls
The most common call we get, and the one people panic about most. We test the battery under load, check the starter draw, the alternator output and the ignition circuit, then tell you which of the four it actually is. Roughly half of these end with a boost and a drive-away; the rest get a starter or alternator swapped in your parking spot.

Batteries — test, boost, replace
We carry group sizes for most sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs and light trucks. A boost gets you moving tonight; a replacement gets you through February. We test the charging system at the same time, because a battery that keeps dying is usually an alternator telling you something.

Brakes — pads, rotors, calipers
Grinding, pulsing pedal, pulling to one side, or a warning light you've been ignoring since the fall. We pull the wheels, measure pad and rotor thickness, and show you the numbers before anything gets replaced. Front or rear, one axle or both, done in your driveway.

Check-engine light & diagnostics
We read the codes, then we read the live data — because a P0420 doesn't always mean a new catalytic converter. You get a plain-English explanation of what the code means, what it costs to fix, and whether it's safe to keep driving while you decide.

Flat tires, tire swaps & seasonal changeover
Plug and patch for a nail, spare fitted if you're stuck on a shoulder, or your full set of winters swapped over in your own driveway instead of a two-hour wait at a tire shop in November. Torque checked and re-checked by hand.

Starters, alternators & belts
Hard-starting, clicking, squealing on cold mornings, or a battery light that flickers at idle. These are the jobs people assume need a shop — most don't. We've done hundreds of them on driveways, in condo garages and in mall parking lots.

Oil changes & fluid service
Full synthetic, filter, and a top-up of everything under the hood. We also check the coolant, brake fluid and transmission level while we're in there, and tell you honestly if something looks like it's about to become a bigger job.

Pre-purchase inspections
Buying used in Scarborough? We meet you at the seller's address, put the car up on stands, and go through it the way a mechanic buying it for himself would — rust, frame, fluids, brakes, codes, and the things a seller hopes you won't look at. Written summary the same day.

Roadside & after-hours emergency calls
Shoulder of the 401, a plaza on Kingston Rd at 1 a.m., a dead car in a GO station lot. We're staffed around the clock, so "after hours" isn't a surcharge conversation — it's just the job.

You get a range for the diagnosis and a range for the likely repair, up front. If the number doesn't work for you, you haven't lost anything.

We come to the car
Home driveway, condo garage, workplace lot, or the shoulder of the road. We text when we're on the way and again when we're close.

You pay when it's fixed
Card or cash on site, after the work is done and you've seen what was replaced. Old parts stay with you unless you'd rather we take them.

04 — Why mobile
The shop comes to the driveway
A conventional repair means three trips: one to drop the car, one to get home, one to pick it up — plus however many days it sits in a queue behind other people's cars. For a battery, a starter, a set of pads or a check-engine light, that's a lot of your week spent on logistics that have nothing to do with the repair.
Mobile work removes all of it. You keep your car, you keep your day, and you watch the job happen. That last part matters more than people expect: when you're standing there, you see the worn pad next to the new one, you see the old starter come out. Nothing gets replaced on faith.

There is no closed day and no overnight surcharge. The phone is answered around the clock, including statutory holidays.
